01 / THE GROUP
Good technology starts with the freedom to make the right choices.
i² group B.V. is the holding company behind a close-knit group of businesses in data centres, connectivity, hosting and software. Each brings its own expertise. Together, we have the knowledge and infrastructure to go further.
We are 100% Dutch and held by a single owner. We have no external investors or external loans: funding comes from within the group. This gives us the freedom to invest for the long term and set our own direction.
Noaberschop is part of who we are. This Twente tradition means looking out for each other, sharing knowledge and helping each other move forward. Within our group and in the way we work with our clients.

New connections, smart software and powerful infrastructure. A look at what we are working on.
INTERRACKS
By acquiring the fibre network at the Josink Es business park, we are bringing affordable, high-quality 1 and 10 Gbit/s connections to local businesses.
We manage the Josink Es network ourselves. This keeps us in control of quality and lets us work directly with businesses to find the connection they need.
INTERRACKS
A backbone capacity of 1.6 Tbit/s connects our network routes between the eastern Netherlands and Amsterdam.
The expansion covers the Enschede–Doetinchem–Amsterdam and Amsterdam–Dronten–Zwolle–Hengelo routes. A solid foundation for the growth of our infrastructure.
ICEHOSTING
We invest in modern AMD servers, combining high performance with energy efficiency.
By upgrading our hardware, we continue to build a powerful hosting platform. We choose technology based on performance, energy consumption and our customers’ needs.
ICEBYTE × INTERDC
Our own software provides insight into our data centres. The building management system brings technology and daily operations together.
Icebyte develops proprietary products for our group. Our building management system draws on the knowledge and experience of the people who use it.
FROM THE GROUP

What started as a passion for hosting has grown into a group that connects the entire digital chain.
The activities of IceHosting, InterRacks and InterDC are brought into a limited-company structure under i² group. From this point on, we build our future as a group. InterDC Hengelo is also established.
Windonet starts as an internet service provider. This history becomes part of our shared story in 2024.
Roland Kamphuis starts IceHosting as a sole trader. His passion for technology grows into a hosting business with a direction of its own.
InterRacks is founded as a limited partnership, putting the ambition to provide its own connectivity and infrastructure into practice.
Icebyte starts developing custom software. Development for external clients ends in 2016; the focus is now on our own products.
InterDC begins as part of InterRacks. The first data centre in Enschede lays the foundation for further growth in the eastern Netherlands.
The activities of IceHosting, InterRacks and InterDC are brought into a limited-company structure under i² group. From this point on, we build our future as a group. InterDC Hengelo is also established.
We establish InterDC Enschede and InterDC Doetinchem. In Enschede, we acquire the operations of Twents Datacenter B.V.
By acquiring the Novoserve data centre, we further expand our infrastructure in the Achterhoek.
We welcome Windonet to our group. Its experience since 1996 and personal service strengthen our position in business hosting.
We launch ENS-IX: an internet exchange that directly connects networks in the eastern Netherlands.
Our original company names all started with an i. Together, they became i squared: i². Windonet and ENS-IX have since broadened the family. The name remains, as does the idea behind it: achieving more together.
